Working from home on commissioned sewing projects and garment alterations, I handled a range of client requests, from fit adjustments to personalised design modifications. Each piece required understanding individual needs and translating them into thoughtful construction solutions while balancing form, function, and wearability.
Working independently also taught me the importance of time management, clear client communication, and maintaining consistent quality within a home-based setup. While managing projects alone allowed for greater creative flexibility and personalised attention to detail, it also required adapting to challenges such as tight deadlines, material sourcing, and balancing multiple responsibilities throughout the production process.
Handling these projects refined my technical skills in garment construction and finishing, while developing a more thoughtful and efficient approach to problem-solving and client needs.
